Tiny chip top edge, very tiny chip bottom edge,
surface is perfect and brilliantly glazed Style:
Aesthetic movement An interesting design from a rare
manufacturer. This tile really is as white as it
looks! Jackson Bros formulated a very white clay
for the tableware market, their attempts at
making dust pressed tiles with it weren't very
successful and apparently quickly ceased making
tiles and use biscuit from other companies. This is a rare opportunity to purchase a tile
which encapsulates a piece of tile making
history. The chips that are visible on the scan are
all factory faults bar one, there is a little
staining on one edge. The glaze is very clean
and bright, there is no crazing, the print is
strong and the colours very accurately
painted. These are hearth quality tiles near half an
inch thick and have been on used hearth. Verso very clean, unmarked save for design
registration number.
