Extremely minor marks, light mark bottom right
corner is a glaze miss. Style: Art
nouveau A wonderful and somewhat bizarre design from
Henry Richards, one of the more extreme
interpretations of the water lily a popular
subject in the art nouveau style. These appears
to be about to take flight with wing-ilke leaves
reaching out to the sides. Good examples are not
often found, I seem to have seen rather more
faulty examples of this than most other designs,
this is a very nice example well painted and in
great condition. This is colourway two and I
have only seen one other, it would seem
appropriate that it was made with blue water,
I'd like to see one someday. Verso perfectly clean, embossed England and
design registration number, painted pattern
number.
