Top right corner nibbled for the original
installation, touvh or wear bottom right corner,
three minute rim chips, rubbing to the centre high
point otherwise near perfect surface. Style: Art
Nouveau An early and quite a popular design from
Richards, usually seen in greens or browns this
the first time I have seen this blues colourway.
An earlier art nouveau design embossed without
the use of a raised outline to contain the
glazes, much more appealing relief although the
colours of necessity limited to those that merge
well with each other. A good stylised floral
design perhaps an orchid with a bold embossed
flower at the centre and two leaves below and
flowers above. Verso clear of adhesive but a little grubby,
embossed registration number and England.
