Top left corner is a glazed over manufacturing
flaw otherwise only exceedingly minor marks. Style: Art nouveau A classic Glasgow Rose design of which there
are surprisingly few on tiles, the colours quite
natural with red rose and green leaves. Although
it would be nice to see it with a more vibrant
background the design is simply a classic of the
style. It took me over thirty years to find one of
these for my collection, that was about eight
years ago now, and it was in rather dull
colours. The design is often seen as a
reproduction, usually fairly inexpertly made
with less brilliant glazes, so finding this
group of just three was a real pleasure. Versos near perfectly clean, embossed pattern
number.
