A good bold design with a large flowerhead, lots of petals, maybe a virulent poppy. Stylised art nouveau but still with victorian floral attributes, a precursor design to full blown art nouveau. High relief and good bright colours especially the turquoise flowerhead, the background isn't a typical clear glaze it is milk white. Probably designed around 1900 - 1902 we have a 1905 catalogue in which the pattern is shown.

These were removed from a wall but unusually in a low traffic domestic environment, a bathroom in an edwardian house. Being in high relief it is most unusual to find a set with such excellent glaze condition.

Condition: Excellent
Price for ten: £400 (approx $840)

One tile has a chip bottom edge, two have a chip on the top edge, very few minor surface marks and manufacturing flaws, A few other tiny edge chips and minor surface marks, a little light staining in the crazing. Very clean tiles that display excellently and with really excellent brilliance in the glazes.
