One very tiny surface chip, other exceedingly
minor marks. Style: Art
Nouveau A not often seen design in quite high relief
depicting a rather strange flower with
buds/petals that resemble balloons, behind the
foliage a celtic-like array of stems the whole
resembling a heraldic shield. An interesting
design straying away from the almost
conventionalised flower that predominates on art
nouveau tiles. Versos very clean, embossed England, stamped
number. Tint chip bottom right edge, minor surface marks
most near the rim, pinhead glaze blow on flower,
bottom left corner also a minute manufacturing
flaw, some rubbing to high points. Very minor marks. Half a dozeb minute rim chips, bottom edge all
glazed over manufacturing flaws, couple light
scratches, other minor marks, gsome laze
bubbling.
