Very small chip bottom left corner, very tiny
chips right corners, some glaze flakes to the rim,
minor surface marks Style: Art
Nouveau A rarely found design clearly primarily
intended for large areas so not often found in
fireplaces and furniture. With a central motif
and stems reaching out to the mid points of the
four sides forming a lattice and pale turquoise
motif, green stems the ground a superb warm
ruddy brown. Several manufacturers made such designs, just
one from each as far as I am aware, fortunately
two were registered so we can get a good idea of
when similar designs by other manufacturers were
originated. Verso embossed A.M.Ltd and England, pattern
number in pencil.
