design but the condition is wondrous. Quite high
relief and with vulnerable high points yet with
only very minor wear to that relief, incredible
to think that it is well over a century old.
Half an inch thick - quality throughout. Brilliantly glazed in earth tones with the
brightest white yet brilliant glaze that I can
recall ever seeing, even though of industrial
manufacture certainly deserving the adjective
arts and crafts for the art is superb and the
craft exceptional. Verso very clean, embossed Maw & Co,
