nouveau A great design found in many colourways this
the first time I can recall seeing this which
works well bluey greens with sunny yellow
flowers. Some of the other colourways seen are
quite bizarre and it is sometimes presented
upside-down because then there is a kind of
heart shape in it! Made by at least four three
companies yet still not often found, the maker
of this unknown. The design registered by J. H.
Barratt in 1903, Ollivant and Cleveland were
other makers of the design. Verso near perfectly clean, embossed
England.
