Super Quality Embossed Victoriana Tile • Condition: Fine • Price: £80 (approx. $96) • Stock number: 07514 UK Special Delivery +£11 Europe Priority +£16 US and World Priority +£26 Currency Converter Ask a question Few very minor marks, super brilliant glaze.   • Style: Victoriana • Technique: Embossed majolica • Maker: Booths • Dimensions: 6" x 6" • Date: 1895 (circa)   An excellent victoriana style design having mostly greek elements yet carrying something of a gothic feel. Wonderful quality, modelling, moulding and glazing. Booths famous for the 'glaze that did not craze' (which was in great part due to the clay the company mostly used) do not appear to have made the transition to embossed tiles for few are seen. Having a strong market in printed and painted tiles, likely the market leader in the segment, the company continued where others fell by the wayside. Verso very clean, unmarked.   Information Tiles For Sale Contacts Order Information
