Two contiguous chips right edge, one very tiny
surface chip, other very minor marks Style:
Aesthetic A good early and interesting stylised floral
design in the aesthetic taste and the manner of
the times. Designed by Robert Edis one of the
slightly better known designers of the time
having panned an important volume od furniture
and decorations. Designes by Edis were produced
by Minton, Hollins & Co contemporary with
those from John Bradburn however it is
Bradburn's designs that were the most popular
judging by what comes to market and Minton
having apparently commissioned more by Bradburn
recognised the response in the marketplace of
the times. I do like the feel of this it having the
sense of being handmade, one may suggest arts
& crafts 'style'. Quite fun and irreverant,
a like the oddity that of the six flowerheads in
the circular border just one has six petals the
others having five. Verso clean, embossed Minton, Hollins etc,
printed registration mark (indistinct).
