Set of Ten Art Nouveau Majolica Tiles   • Condition: Good • Price: £280 (approx $391) • Stock number: 10116   UK Priority +£30 Europe Priority +£50 World Priority +£75 Currency Converter Ask a question Some trimmed corners for the original installation, light surface marks.     • Style: Art nouveau • Technique: Embossed majolica • Maker: John Barratt • Dimensions: 6" x 6" • Date: 1904 (registered)   A somewhat quirky chequer design of a daffodil not the easiest of flowers to interpret in the art nouveau style. Actually a combination set we having a set left-handed and another set right-handed it seemed sensible to make handed sets. Colours are great, there is often more colour variation in an original set and in angled fireplace cheeks the lighting differs either side in any case. Not often found and in easy to place interior design colours. Versos very clean, embossed registration number.
