A superb tile panel from a famous designer
and a famous factory, free flowing art nouveau
in super colours and in great condition for its
purpose. Full and detailed the medium of print
allowing greater detail than embossed or
tubelined, fabulous whiplash lines erupting like
a hydra from the core.
A hearth and an exceptional find for few
hearths survive in acceptable condition let
alone very good as this. The damages of which
there are a few but none overly apparent are so
in keeping with the use that I dare use the
phrase "add to the charm" for it is as if well
used yet cared for.
Individual tile images are shown below.
Versos embossed Mintons etc.
Very good condition, a hairline crack, edge
chips, surface rubbing, a couple of scratches
and scrapes, side tiles have been trimmed and
neatly filed by a little over a quarter of an
inch for the original installation.
